How private boat hire in Lagos works

Every boat comes with a licensed skipper, fuel and insurance, and leaves from Lagos Marina, a short walk from the old town.

Do I need a boat licence?

No. Every boat is hired with a professional skipper, so you can relax, swim and enjoy the coast.

Which boat suits my group?

Up to 6 guests: the Oceanis Clipper 311. Up to 8: Snow White, the Brig Eagle RIB or the Cranchi Endurance yachts. Up to 10: the Oceanis 45. Up to 12: the Cranchi 47. Up to 16: the catamarans or the Princess V58.

How long should I book?

Two hours is perfect for Ponta da Piedade. A half day of 3 to 3 h 30 adds beaches and a swim, and a full day reaches Benagil or the wild west coast.

What does it cost?

Private boat hire in Lagos starts at €425 for 3 hours on a sailing yacht and €450 for 2 hours on a speedboat. Prices are per boat, not per person, and include VAT.

How much does it cost to hire a private boat in Lagos?

From €425 for 3 hours on a sailing yacht for up to 6, or €450 for a 2-hour speedboat trip for up to 8, including skipper and VAT.

Are drinks included?

Yes, on every boat: from soft drinks and beer to sparkling wine and Moët on the Princess V58. Each boat lists what’s included.

Where do the boats leave from?

Every boat on this site leaves from Lagos Marina. We send you the exact meeting point when your booking is confirmed. Please arrive 15 to 30 minutes before departure.

How does the 25% deposit work?

Choose your boat, date and time and send us the booking by WhatsApp or email. We confirm availability and send you a secure link to pay the deposit. You pay the rest on the day.

What is the cancellation policy?

It depends on the boat and is confirmed before you pay. If the skipper cancels because of the weather or sea conditions, you can move your date or get your deposit back.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. All prices shown include Portuguese VAT and are per boat, not per person. They are confirmed when you book.
