Planning your Ponta da Piedade trip

Ponta da Piedade is only 10 minutes by boat from Lagos Marina, so even a short trip leaves plenty of time to explore.

How long do we need?

Two hours is enough for the grottoes and a swim stop. With 3 to 3 h 30 you can add the beaches towards Porto de Mós and Luz.

Which boat?

A speedboat or the Cranchi Endurance 39 get closest to the rocks. A sailing yacht or catamaran is more relaxed for families.

Best time of day

Mornings are calm and quiet. Late afternoon brings warm golden light on the cliffs, perfect for photos.

Kayak and paddleboard

Several boats carry paddleboards or a kayak so you can explore the smaller grottoes yourself.
